The fence yesterday was taken at our walk around Lake Kaniere, which is shown in this picture.
The four hours walk was described as „moderate“, but it was full of obstacles and minor difficulties. Unfortunately the walk is just a one-way walk to the southern tip of the lake. It took us two more hours to walk back to the car (which was parked at the northern tip)…

This is one of my favorite shots. My intention was to take a picture of the sky being mirrored in the muddle. After pulling the trigger, this fisherman walked along the way together with his dog and I simply continued to shot. Sometimes the best strategy is just to wait for right moment 😉

This is a replica of the Tambo, which was build in 1864. Unfortunately it wrecked in 1866. The original anchor was recovered in 1980 and donated to Heritage Hokitika.
